It all started when…

My husband and I were talking to two hill walkers that had come in to our local pub one Friday evening.  They had been walking all day on the first stage of the West Highland Way from Milngavie to Drymen.

Over the course of the day they had walked 19km/12 miles through beautiful scenery and a variety of weather(s) - a typical day in Scotland. They were tired but very satisfied that they had completed the first stage of their journey. Only seven more stages to go!

After a well deserved drink or two and having sampled some of the local whiskies, the walkers mentioned that they would have loved to capture their feelings, thoughts and memories of the day in a journal…

My ‘light bulb’ moment arrived and the journal and The Walkers Club was born!

The Walkers Club has been created to offer a number of services designed for walkers that includes suggestions for great places to eat and drink, accommodation, campsites and places of interest.

The personal journal provides a keepsake that can be updated after each stage of your walk, allowing for some quiet time to reflect on the activities of the day and capture them while still fresh in your mind.   We have a paper version of the Journal and a Digital version which can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play.

Both providing a momento that can be re-read time and again – even by future generations.

The Walkers Club hopes you love the journals as much as we do.

Happy Walking!
